    Uploads folder problem

I have many files in wp-content/uploads folder, maybe tens of thousands, all files are images uploaded by visitors. I use FileZilla to conect to server, and when I click on uploads folder it doesn't show me all files, I guess because there are many of them, there is some kind of limit here.

So when I need to do backup of my site or move to another hosting, I can't download all files.
What should I do about this, any solution?

    Thanks!

PS. Wouldn't it be easier if uploads folder would be organized like in wordpress by years and months?
