Using Categories or Advance Search - Tips and opinions
I am setting up my new classipress 3.1 system and have lots of categories which makes the list very long if using the settings to show all subcategories.
Now I have two different ideas which I would LOVE TO hear your pros and cons about.
Lets say I have a Category named "vehicles" and subcategories with, "cars" "trucks" "motorcycles" and so on. It just crossed my mind that I would only have the vehicle category and then use a dropdown field where the poster select what kind of vehicle he wants to put an ad up for.
The users who want to search then very easy have the categories and the subs in the advance section where more options will be available.
As for now I think that seem to be the far better option but maybe I am wrong.
