You Tube embed not working

I've tried so many things to try to get a YouTube video to embed - both in the wp dashboard as admin and in the front end as a normal user editing my ad.

Just a couple of months ago this was working fine (and I haven't made any changes to things since then), and now all I get is the raw code displaying as text. I've tried putting it in the description field as well as in my custom field I created for the You Tube code. I've tried it with HTML turned on as well as turned off in the Classipress settings.

I've tried plugins like Smart Youtube, Embedly and Wordpress Video Plugin, I can't get any of them to work.

I feel like I've exhausted so many options and have been through every single post on this forum to do with You Tube videos to no avail.

I need a simple solution where the user can simply copy and paste the embed code (or the URL and it will embed) without editing any code etc. I thought that Classipress supported the embedding of YouTube videos..

I really hope someone can help me because I really don't know what's going on.
