Chosen display name, instead of username, on posts and comments

For security reasons, I prefer to show Display name publicly as, instead of the actual usernames on posts and comments.

I tried using a plugin (Diplay Author Name Permalink) to do this but, of course, it only works in the "core" (ie outside of the Ideas theme) area (eg regular blogs).

How do I do the same for the Ideas posts and comments?
