Jobroller upgrade and databases

I'm upgrading JobRoller for the first time, from v1.5.4 to v1.5.5. I have three questions:

1. When I install v155 on a fresh subdomain for testing, I see that a new database (wrdp2) is created for this instance, which of course means that jobs and all other data posted in the original v154 (wrdp1) database are not carried forward. I understand that the databases are stored somewhere in Wordpress, not in the JobRoller version files, or in any themes or child themes. Can anyone please tell me where they are stored and how I access them?

2. Can I point v155 to the original wrdp1 database so that all data created in v154 is available in v155. If so, can someone please explain what I have to do.

3. I notice that one of the fixes in v1.5.5 was "SQL error related with job views counter". Does this fix mean that the wrdp2 database is different in some way to wrdp1 ? If so, will it mean that using the old database will somehow miss this fix ?
