    Force category selection before search

    Dear AppThemes,

    We have the vantage directory up and running with 2.000.000+ listings. But now the directory is slow when a user searches for anything.
    I found out that the search function will be a lot quicker when a user selects a category first. Is there a way the code it in frontend so that the user must select a category before he or she performes a search? Is there also a way to force the user to fill in where? These 2 things will solve all the problems.

    It is not a problem of our server we have a 12GB dedicated sql server.
