header advert widget throwing out nav bar layout

I have sucessfully posted a banner ad in the header of my site www.greenhoutbay.org but it throws out the navigation bar. If I remove the ad from the header widget, the Nav bar is fine. (it ads a blank page wide horizontal box in IE and throws out my home page button in Firefox and Chrome)

This is the code I used in the widget to place the ad - which does place the ad correctly

Would appreciate any help to correct this as I can't go live without this being sorted out. Not sure what I am doing wrong
