Importer says "imported one listing" but where is it?

I read the forum here and found that if you have all the field headings correct and then you have data in at least "title", "description", and "author" in your csv file, the import will succeed. So I tested the importer with one listing and had data in those 3 fields for that record, and sure enough I had a success message!!! Finally a breakthrough But, alas, it was not to be I went to the site, and there, sitting right in front of me was no listing, nada, zippo, nothing...it simply wasn't there! What did I do wrong this time?

Sorry if I just forgot to do something simple, I'm an oldbie.
