Listings Expiring

I have several listings expiring. The default on the theme was set at 30 days and so I went in and changed it to 900,000 days so listings won't expire. In the admin section I do a quick edit on the listings and then just republish but it still gives me an expiration of 30 days. How do I set it to where listings never expire and also so that the no expiration will take effect on current listings? Is their a way that I can just edit the expiration date of a listing and extend those out to specific dates? The site is http://www.newyorkshopexchange.com
