Vantage Current version: 1.1

Strange but true question. I have installed the previous version of Vantage as well as the latest version: 1.1
I need to use the old version as I had installed plugins that allowed me to create a sidebar by category. Now this plugin I am using does not work in the 1.1 version.
It is critical to my advertisers that I am able to setup an ad next to their chosen category and not the whole website.
My issue is that as I have 28,000 companies listed in the database in the new version of Vantage.
My question is how do I either import these into the OLD version or how can I point the database to include these 28,000 into the previous Vantage version, please advise?
