Launced a Custom Classifieds Site for a Client

    Hi guys,

I am a freelance designer/developer (mostly developer) and would like to thank Classipress for a solid out of the box theme to use. My client wanted it to look nothing like what it offered and I spent many hours making it look like what his vision asked for. A clean but dark themed classifieds site that was easy to use.

After customizing all the layouts, plugins, css, and more and we have the beta launch of:

    Kucha
    http://www.kucha.ca

I built it on Classipress for Yvan Biljan who has big plans to keep adding and developing more into it so stay tuned.

Nice job... How much will you charge to make something like this?

After reading the "About" section, I wouldn't say he has the user in mind. Don't care for the black color and not sure what the word "premium" has to do with the tag line. The "Perfect Touch" ad layout doesn't fit with the theme of the site. "Browse Categories" isn't necessary. I do like the font in categories and the logo colors. I would suggest the owner get more clear about the vision of the business instead of trying to stand out. It takes time. At least action is being taken. Best of luck.

very nice, it is just what I want. But it will be better if it can show how many posts number in the homepage after every category.

I started by installing the "Theme My Login" plug-in to show Login/Register/Password pages in my theme layout. I then installed "WP User Registration" plug-in to choose the fields and settings I wanted for the registration process.

If you mean as a linked category, then yes, I actually have to make that update for the client. That "Categories" page is actually just a template I set the landing page to use. The template simply lists the categories / links as I wanted. The category columns are leveled out by manually choosing with categories will be listed in each column by me in the template. It's not 100% automatic.
