Got my site live last week. It's a finnish classifieds site built on ClassiPress.

Modifications include:
- Graphics which had to match parent site http://www.magneettimedia.com
- Extra step+highly modded step functions to post ad also to a magazine + extra admin panel for magazine ads
- Gataway plugin for electronic paying in finnish banks + credit cards (web ads are free, magazine costs)
- Translations to finnish
- Custom map search in front page
- Modded ad listing, ex. parent category and state in loops
- Some little tweaks here and there...

Custom Map Search in Main Page
I really like this Custom Map Search in Main Page on the right side bar.

When you click on one of the region, it auto paste in the search term for the region.

How do you get this done and I would appreciate if you can share your modification to us.

I am keen to learn this.

Hi,

I'm using ImageMapster jQuery plugin for the map http://www.outsharked.com/imagemapster/. Dunno if I could explain it better than the documents in there.

To put it simply you need the plugin and a map in svg format from where you get the coordinates for the highlights.

Been a while but:

Install for example Opera which helps you to check the page elements which you need to change (right click > inspect element).
In my case I had to change few background and border colors from style.css and teal.css.
