Hey all,

Spent the weekend updating this website for a client, would be great to hear what you think...

Main updates:

Sidebar dealer Logos
Ad info in sidebar
Modified ad list structure
Larger thumbnails
Advanced search
Custom header image per-category
Removed Child\Child categories
Ajax login
Login area moved to header
Full category list in footer
Large main image in advert
Themed black, white and orange
RSS feed images

I'm quite happy with the Ajax login, I think it works quite well in the header as you can login from any page - and it automatically recongises when you've just registered and changes itself... making it quite straight forward to navigate your way through. Feel free to sign up if you want to see it working...

Stuff I need help with if you can:

Spacing between adverts, ideally I'd like it to be the same as all the other spacing on the site (10px) - I've read it's almost impossible to specify this white space though

Redirect to profile after registering - I'd like it to go to the users profile so they can update their information before advertising their car - instead of it going straight to the add-new page.

RSS Images - fundamental feature of the site that I really need to get working, managed to get images in Firefox RSS but not IE so far.

The RSS image is really a waste of space and not needed to be shown as it's a high visual area on the site, a simple RSS icon top right corner of the site is all you need.

Since it's one of the first things people see in the site, it should have a featured car or something useful there. Most people take a look and log off and couldn't be bothered with rss feeds. Otherwise site looks great. With some heavy modding you could stack the ads below 2 by 2 single line ads are a waste of space and a lot of white space on the right.

Hi, thanks - I really meant to say I wanted the first image of each post to be included in the RSS feed. I think if you are buying a Supercar (which can take a long time to find the right one), it would be good to have them delivered to your desktop.

I've only got one slide in the home feature box at the mo, I don't consider this site to be live until I start actively marketing it. The first image they see will be something more insteresting!

Don't have any help to offer I'm afraid. Just to say it looks great! Very impressive. How did you get the Advanced Search? That's exactly what I'd like for my site. How did you manage it?

There is a couple of threads about the search in the forum, try looking for custom field search and you should find the solution.

Looks great! I really like the grid view on the front page. I too think that the rss button is overemphazized in this place (especially since it doesn't even provide any rss service but only a recommendation to use rss) and this shouldn't be the most prominent offer on the site. If offering rss feeds I would offer feedburner email service instead. But great site anyway!

Hi toms, just been taking a look at the site and its realy realy nice, job well done, only downfall i can see (and its none of your doing) is the spoiling of the images on rollover with the silly 888888.jpg titles, dont look too hot on a prestige car site, last night i came across a little plugin that might work to change those numbers into the posts title, (works for me anyway, but i dont use zoom)..

I actually tried to get rid of the titles altogether, I don't really see the point of them. The parts of the code I expected to remove it didn't work, so I had to leave it for now... if there is anyone that does know how to do this I'd be grateful!
