Bigfreeguide.com has been online for 10 years, I used to use a directory software called indexU, but 6 months ago began the long hard work of converting it to app themes.

Feedback welcome. Most of the work was converting the site over from the old script.
I made a custom implementation of the add page, because i use a huge number of custom fields.
I also made a custom plugin to grab local images for each listing (using the geograph.org.uk project)
Huge thumbs unto the vantage product, the theme designer for "directory template" and map supreme plugin - your hard work has made my life a lot simpler!
