Selective slider images

Greetings,

Is there a way to display slider in same way as home page but when selecting category, only featured listings for selected category would display? And, in the same way, when a search is performed, only featured items matching search would display?

Is there a way to filter slider based on tags or custom fields where radio buttons allow user to select/deselect filter options?
