Charging for Listings - Please share your experiences/tips
Hello:
I was hoping that other Vantage users could share some of their experiences and tips regarding charging for listings/revenue models.
For example, if you are not charging businesses to list, how are you monetizing your site (if at all)?
Are you allowing all listings to be listed for free and only charging for featured add ons?
What are your thoughts in general on charging for listings?
Did you initially start out as a free site and then added a fee once you gained activity and traction? Did you start out with a fee and then go free?
Are any of you doing "real world" sales calls (in person or phone or direct mail) to generate revenue or are you guys just relying on
SEO/internet traffic for subscriptions?
Just looking for some ideas and thoughts. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences.
