Does importing csv listings into Vantage work for Google ?

Some time ago I built two web directories, one with about 600 listings which I built manually over about a year. The other with about 3500 listings I made by importing from a csv file.

The manually built directory had a lot of traffic, from Google, the one built using csv import had hardly any visitors.

I want to build some new directories using Vantage and I would be grateful for opinions from Vantage users as to wether the csv method will work and result in traffic from Google or if the manual method is better SEO wise.
