Need a way to have Featured Listings on Listings Page when using a custom homepage

Hi!

I built a home made front page for my site as it is designed to be a community website rather than simply a business listings page. The business listings page is a prominent feature though and I do want to have the ability to sell featured listings. As Vantage comes, the 'Featured' front page listings are directly linked to the 'Home' page thus 'Featured Listings' do not show unless the listings page is the homepage. The category featured listings, search, and everything else does work with the page moved as best as I can tell. I gather from limited discussions with AppThemes that this is intentional as the program is designed with the term 'Homepage Featured Listing' in the featured listings dialog. That dialog line would need to be changed too, of course. I do think that there are plenty of good reasons to move the listings off of the homepage. I also think that there are still plenty of reasons for featured listings to be available no matter where the listings page is located.

I have looked at the archive-listings.php file and darn near everywhere else. I have, with my limited knowledge been able to find where the featured listing page assignment is made. I have also been unable to find the dialog regarding purchasing a 'Homepage Featured Listing' anywhere either.

If this situation cannot be fixed and I do not charge for listings at all, are the featured listing options eliminated entirely? While it would be nice to earn some money from this project that is the not so great fallback option, at least, I hope. So far, I haven't built a website that made money so I'll soldier on anyway with or without much in the way of earnings potential!
