Kindly assist me.

I activated Events from Settings just to see what it would look like via the frontend and then deactivated this however, although I have unchecked the box the event tabs are still visible on the frontend although the add an event tab is not visible. Although the add an event tab is not visible, someone has gone ahead and added an event called Wordcamp Moonbase1 and when I looked to see how or who added the event, to my surprise it was done by myself “Admin”. I am not sure how this is possible because I have set the editors to Admin only.

In addition to this, I seem to be having trouble removing the App Themes sponsored ad on the right toolbar. It does not appear on every page but is showing on the listings page.
