Broken Link checker and Category organization

I'm currently using an older version of Vantage but am testing the new version as I prepare to upgrade.

I've used a broken link checker on the older version but it only checks the blog, not the listings. Is there a broken link plugin available to search the LISTINGS in the new or old Vantage? Does anyone have a good way to search for broken links in listings?

Also, I haven't seen an easy way to have the categories listed in my order of preference. Vantage always lists them alphabetically. Is there an easy way to change this or does it require changing the code?

And in the new Vantage there are times when the categories are displayed but you can't differentiate between the parent category and the subcategory, which makes it look disorganized. Is there a fix for this?
