Ad Editing not working

Hi, can anyone help? Ive read 3 posts on this and I am still stuck. Im using classipress, logged in as admin, trying to edit my own test posts from within dashboard, and get the following message when clicking on edit (pencil icon)

You have entered an invalid ad id or do not have permission to edit that ad.

I have users set as contributor (although shouldnt make a difference as im logged in as admin) I have allow ad editing set to yes.

I only had 1 plugin installed and have deactivated and the problem is still there. Ive checked the .htaccess file and all is ok.

Really stuck, can anyone help.

Wordpress and classipress versions?

Dashboard back end wp-admin or your front end dashboard?

Hi Bleem, Wordpress 3.4.2 and classipress 3.1.9, Im also using the headline child theme which I got from the market place, Its when im in the front end dashboard, using it as a customer would. I am able to pause and restart ads, but the edit isnt working. Ive checked the permalinks and its set for postname.

To help you I need to have access to your site then please send it via PM the credentials to access the Wordpress admin.

I managed to find out the reason of this problem. The ads created by the site administrator were not assigned to any category of advertisement. Then just edit the ads and assign categoriras ads.

Hi Baruka, that one had me totally baffled, thank you so much for your help. I can see now that I have made test ads and not assigned them to any category, or had assigned them to a parent level category (parent level posting is disabled in main classipress settings) and this is why I couldnt edit.
