Can not upload image from local computer to WP, pls advise

Hi, I can't upload image from local computer to WP, the message is " the parent directory unwritable", have change /Public_html to 777, still can't upload at WP directly, pls advise solution and step.Thanks!

Chmod you server to 777

give it the permision to read /\ write himself

-> generally open ftp client

- right click on the www folder on your server
- found permission
- and give it 777

try the same
but directly in folder by your ftp client /www
