    Index.php & Index.html Question

    Okay Wordpress Guru's,

I have a challenge that I'm hoping someone can help me solve. I have had a Wordpress site with about 200 posts for the past five years that I can't place into it's own directory or I'm going to lose all the SEO and URL's that are in Google, links, etc.

I want to put a landing page as Index.html on the main site, showcasing some new benefits to my business and then have a link to the BLOG with another link to the Classipress site that I installed on another domain. How can I do this without moving my BLOG that is the main site right now into it's own directory?

I tried just putting the link on the landing page (index.html) I created over to index.php, but it automatically defaults to index.html, so the Wordpress BLOG can't be accessed using that method.

    Any suggestions would be fantastic

    Thanks.

Hey Dimitris, I thought about that today as well. It's not the ideal situation since I will lose the benefits of having a Wordpress BLOG per say by going to static home page and it's more difficult to customize a static page in Wordpress than create a .html page using straight html as a Splash Page. However, I think that is the best solution, so I'm going to change my Wordpress site to STATIC for the home page, create a static page with the content I need from TheCoolCarGuy.com and link to the http://www.thecoolcarguy.com/network to the ad site. Problem solved, not as I would like, but it's a workable fix. Thanks for the feedback and confirmation.
