Thread: Need help

Ok I did what was explained in http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

was all excited when I logged in as admin and even contributor and it worked, until I realized that I don't get to the pages nor to the add post.

What did I do wrong or what do I need to change to make it work?

Have you cleared your htaccess that you have modified with the previous install?

Yes, it can be edited with a notepad application. You need to download it first and then reupload.

Before anything else, check the admin settings-Pages if the following pages the Add New and Dashboard is still there and not in draft.

I changed the htaccess file, worked fine. I am able to acces the pages now, but I am still directed to the old subdirectory /wp/add-new/ when I try to post a listing while not signed in.
I used to be redirected to a register page before.

I think this is the only instance where it is still directing to the old /wp/ directory, any ideas where I need to do the change?

Have you reverted back the theme-functions.php where we discussed changing some url links to it in our previous posts.

I GOT IT!!!

My mistake, I used the ad space in the header to create the add a listing button and linked it, but didn't change the url.

So I guess everything is working fine now.

I had alot of test listings in, but we go public today, so I removed those
