Page not found/404 error on every theme i install...

    Hello People

I've installed a new theme and yesterday, but I'm sure i didn't touch anything, now every time i go on my homepage it comes up with 'page not found'. I tried a different wordpress theme they all come up with 'page not found/404 error'

I'm not good with coding so not sure what happened. Also the Nivo sliders with pictures on main page have disappeared.

    Thanks

I think it is something to do with permalinks.. i changed it from default to: /%postname%/ but still no luck as suggested in previous forum posts on a similar issue. I've even cleared the cache but page is still not displayed.

site is: ignitebeauty (dot) co (dot) uk

I have checked your site and the recommended permalinks /%postname%/ is still not yet setup as it still shows the url format of a page ignitebeauty.co.uk/?page_id=15 . When permalink is setup, it will display as ignitebeauty.co.uk/about for the About page.

It could be a server issue, if you have already tried activating the permalinks through the WP admin and of which still does not work. You may try asking your host's support to activate mod rewrite on your server for the custom permalinks to work.

Great to know that you have it sorted out as I already see your permalinks working just fine at my end. Anyway, I will have to close this thread now and have a nice day.
