well you can use this program: search & replace master.

It will replace you text for all php files, or orther files.

Hopefully you are not looking manually in every single file haha

    very useful

that search&replace plugin I have used for some time!

another useful one is WP-Cleanup outside of Classipress

one of the most useful features is to get rid of "post_revisions"!

even a wordpress as cms site can really get clogged and editing pages impossible unless the "post revisions" get trimmed

I have since learned to limit the number of revisions with a piece of code, by the way.

Stupid question in regards to backups..while I have seen some very cool WP plugins, would not th ebest thing to do (aside from manually) is an auto backup from your provider? MY provider, who i believe to be very reliable, has free 1 month then charges like 5 bucks for a daily backup and keeps on hand the last 7 backups at all times.

Am i missing something in thinking this is a pretty good deal? Not trying to sound sarcastic, it just seems these days there a million ways to do something but only a few to do it the right way

Hands down after trying to search the "top 10" of a few different sites, the best, simplest, easiest backup plugin is BeiFen which just COPIES THE DIRECTORIES AND SQL DATABASE (important to do both) to a different location on your hosts server. VERY EASY restore!

Bei Fen is a old plugin, and it's not compatible with the latest wordpress, and it gives errors when activated.

The best backup plugin I have found so far is: Duplicator

WordPress › Duplicator « WordPress Plugins
