Best SEO for Classipress - and settings

    Hi Friends,

I am used to using the All in One SEO plugin for Jobroller and it has always worked great. I am now using it on a classipress site and although I have lots of content and mannipulated keywords / content etc - it is not delivering very well at all.

I have a great two word domain name and for some reason am only going "down" in my Google rankings.

Could someone advise as to the best settings for the All In One SEO in a classipress site - OR if they have found another plugin that works better - please advise?

    Cheers and thanks,

    Mark

Currently I use this plugin "Wordpress SEO", in my opinion this is the best SEO plugin.

    Hi barukar,

I took your advice and have now installed and "configured" the Yoast SEO plugin. Thank you for your recommendation and I shall be sure to deliver you an update as to how it performs - in 36" place for my search term keywords "vancouver jobs" (yes - a competitive space) but shall see what it is on Wednesday :P I was at 22 a few weeks ago but with all my "adjustments" have dropped - even though I have a helper that is "scraping" and inputting fresh content 5 days a week.

My only concern is if I have configured the plug in properly. I went through the menus and albeit they are many times helpful in advice - but not so much with meta descriptions and title choices. This is where I am very unsure if I have done efficiently / correctly. I do have my BCTechnologyJobs.com (a technical site with good results - and used domain gripping) as well as vancouvergamejobs.com (same thing) pointed to this url so that is why I am using / applying the wording if you wondered.

What would I have to do to get an opinion on the settings / inputs to make sure I am doing it right - to it's best potential? I can pop u some loot - or deliver you payback in another creative way if desired - as a quick view of what I have implemented on my back end would be "more than awesome".

I don't expect this as part of any support so if my request is out of bounds I totally understand and absolutely no whining from me

    Cheers,

    Mark

I have used the 'All in One' SEO plugin since I started using Classipress and it works a treat - I can have an advert put on today, do the SEO for the search terms I want and have it on the front page of Google within 24-48hrs of publication....

Using an SEO tool is pointless unless you understand SEO and how it works and of course, you need to understand how to configure your plugin correctly not only for your MAIN landing page, but also on each advert.

For example, ALL IN ONE SEO recognised the CUSTOM POSTS that are 'Ads' in Classipress and this option needs to be selected in the AIO SEO Settings...!

If you want to prevent /page/2/ and further of any archive to show up in the search results, enable this.
