    Nifty way to backup your blog,,,

    I started using a backup plugin called "Automatic Wordpress Backup" about a week ago after reading about it online. It uses an Amazon S3 account ( http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ ) as an off-site backup media. It backs up your database, theme files, config file and more. According to the developer, version 2.0 is coming out soon with improved database backup.

    Oh, and it runs the backup job daily, weekly or monthly and on demand.

    Info here: http://www.webdesigncompany.net/auto...dpress-backup/ and here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/aut ... ss-backup/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Yes but not that much. It's usage based pricing. There's an optional FTP backup location as well.

    Moved to plugin section.
    Eric is best known in the forum for his in depth tutorials. He started in design 4 years ago and then discovered WordPress and has been coding and hacking themes and plugins ever since. He's quite helpful if you have any questions for him in the forum. Eric also makes his own WordPress themes and plugins and provides ClassiPress consulting on the side. I did everything exactly how it said in the video tutorial but the backup didn't work. It lists the backup in my dashboard but there is no file in the uploads/awb folder except that it created an .htaccess doc there. And I don't see anything in my Amazon account either.
