Approval of members registering for site

Hello - Is there functionality (or possibly a mod or plugin) to allow the site administrator to approve or disapprove potential members registering for the site? As packaged, classipress seems to have only a registration functionality with automatic approval, followed by a congratulations email back to the new member. thank you

It used to be that way but users requested for it to be done automatically since there are some issues relating to confirmation emails not being received by registrants.

However, you can can check some plugin at the Wordpress plugin repository that moderates user registration.
Please help our moderating team work more efficiently by not sending us support questions via PM. You can read more about how AppThemes support works here. However, you can send a PM to follow up and remind me if I missed your support request/thread.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Hello. Thanks for your suggestion of register plus redux. I gave it a try, but unfortunately the plug-in does not seem to block unapproved visitors from logging into the site. You are not able to enter any extra registration form fields on the plug-in, without those not being recognized on the classipress registration page. And when you remove the extra fields and check the plug-in boxes that you want to verify all visitors, visitors are still able to log into the site without approval. I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions. Thank you.

Nonetheless, wouldn't it have been more flexible to provide the option of both automatic approval and vetted approval?

Possibly one of the developers can tell us what code to replace to put it back to an approved-users only mode? thanks

thanks Mr. Green. On its face, the register plus redux plug-in looks perfect. But for some reason, when I activated it, I was able to log on without requiring prior approval. Not sure why it doesn't seem to be working with classipress
