I really want a website with features like this....
Boutwell Studio

Is there a way to figure out how this was done so I can put something together for myself? Or a way to find out if it is completely custom?

I don't get the point!
You mean a mod that makes your ClassiPress based site looks like that one?
That can be done fur sure but requires a lot of PHP+CSS changes.

I think it wouldn't hurt contacting the site admin, adoring the site design and ask for minor details on how they created it. Nice looking site I would say.
