    Question Wordpress 3.1 RC1 released

Some of you may be aware but a couple of days ago Wordpress 3.1 RC1 was released. This means we can expect the final release probably within the month of January provided no high priority issues crop up for the development folks.

I was going to post this to my existing thread (in Pre-Sales questions) but sadly that subforum has now been locked to registered customers. I assume to prevent existing customers from communicating with potential new customers since they cannot see these forums. Heaven forbid they have first hand communication with us who have already experienced the product (quite sneaky IMO).

Anyway, my point is that I hope ClassiPress 3.1 being developed (and tested!!!) to fully support Wordpress 3.1. Thanks.

At the risk of someone making a big deal of this than it really is, I just wanted to respond to your comment about the pre-sales forums. The pre-sales forum is for potential customers to ask the questions they want about our themes, and too often, these threads are derailed by people who want to use it as a platform to voice their opinions on issues not related to the original post. It simply makes our job as moderators more difficult, as we should be able to answer the questions at hand, without then having to have a whole new conversation about something else. This is all it's about, nothing more.

So presumably potential customers who haven't bought yet can browse all the other forums to see what the established community thinks of the products. Is that true?

I'm going to rewrite my question for Pepsi because I've reread Bellboy's post - and a few others:

Is it really true that existing classipress registered customers cannot communicate with potential customers in the pre-sales forum? (as mentioned by Bellboy)

And is it also true that potential customers cannot browse the other forums before they buy so they can read what existing customers have to say about the product? (as mentioned by Wagsy)

If both these are true then, whatever your reasons might be, appthemes has a serious free-speech problem.

Potential buyers are normally allowed to browse (but not post) in any forum. It's not as if we're revealing any trade secrets... or are we?
