Updating classipress and childtheme

(sorry for my english, I'll do my best)

I have made the website http://www.gratissexadvertentie.com . (18+)
I never made a childtheme and have made the changes in the classipress code. I now know that is stupid and want to make it right.

Yesterday I bought childtheme flatpress because it is responsive en there are more options. I needed to update my classipress because i now use 3.1.9 instaid of 3.4. Yesterday I make the update but I lost my site compleetly. I restore my backup and have made a childtheme. Now that works fine but do I have to copy more files to the childtheme before I update classipress? And can I update the flatpress childtheme under my classipress website?

I hope someone can help me.
