ATT: ADMIN...You can't edit the Header / Footer on 3.1.8 with getting a FB error

Hi there

I'm still waiting on responses from 2 other threads about this, but I want to make ADMIN aware that you cannot edit Theme-Header.php or Theme-Footer.php without getting a Facebook error at the top of the screen.

Also, you simply cannot undo any editing and re upload that file, you have to upload a fresh clean copy other wise it gets worse.

The error is...

This is a huge problem in 3.1.8 I edited everything almost in 3.1.7 with no problems..

All I want to do is...

HEADER: Removal of POST AN AD Button and Categories drop down menu

FOOTER: Wording on right - to be change

When I do either this appears at the top:
