    Email layout problem

    I received a reply from one of my users, he had replied to one of the automatic "your listing has been accepted" emails generared by my site. I configured those emails in theme-emails to contain my choice of content and had put in line breaks - <br> - here and there to make it look tidy. However I can see that in the email it just shows up as <br> rather than actual line breaks. How do I correct this please?
