    Extra Fields in Registration Form

    This all-important question remains unanswered...properly. How can we insert extra fields into the Registration Form without the use of Plugins? Plugins are known to slow your site down so some simple hard-coding would help. I am also quite sure at least one user on this Forum has done it. care to share, anyone? I'll buy you a beer or something.
