Front page category area - hide subcategories
Hi, I would like to know how I can just show the parent categories only on the front page. I would like to hide the sub category (even if it empty or not).
My intention is to not clog up the front page with so many categories. This way once visitors go into a specific parent category, they can easily see the sub categories and that is much more sufficient than cramping all categories on the main page.
Maybe there is a plugin for this? if not some code changes?
Is there also a way to decrease the spacing between the category names in the main page. Right now I feel it is taking a bit of space on the top of the front page before the Ads.
