Price tag depending on Ad status

Hi Guys, I would like to have the text of the price tag depending on the ad status.

For example, if the ad is:
* active, it should say "Still on"
* paused, it should say "Paused"
* expired it should say "Expired"
* sold, it should say "Sold"

and so on...

So this is actually 2 questions:

1. What are the default states an ad can have?
2. How do I change the text in the price tag depending on the ad status
