Prompting for login or registration after an ad has been mostly completed

(I also posted this in the general forum, sorry! consider this the real place for this question now)

    Hi All,

I am looking for a way to have a user hit post an ad, go through the whole process, and before being prompted for payment etc, to be asked to sign in or register. Presently I am finding registration to dissuade some people from posting but I am hoping this will be less so if they are likely to have written their ad out before being presented with the need to be a member. I do not want people to register without being users, I want only to change the order. Does anybody know a way to achieve this? Thanks!!
