Responsiveness issue

I'm not sure if this is an issue with CP, my child theme, or indeed if this is normal, but......When viewing ads on my website (indeed any text) on a mobile device, instead of a word moving onto the next line if the word is too long for the space, only the remaining letters of that word move to the next line. It's almost as though it's not rendering properly. The screenshot below should illustrate this a little more clearly that I can explain. The arrows on the screenshot indicate where the letters of a word have been carried onto the next line, rather than the whole word:

I have tried to see how the CP demo looks on a mobile device but it seems the demo is not responsive :-/
