Updateing ClasiPress from 3.0.5.2 to 3.0.5.3

Hi,

I have vs 3.0.5.2 installed working in a network installation. Its not being used as the main theme for the site. But it is selected and working as its own separate blog on the network to give the site a separate classified section. Its working fine. But I See no way to update the theme to the latest version from within the dashboard. I have a few questions.

Do I ftp the new version to the themes folder? if so wont that delete any changes made to the theme? Plus what about content.
I'm assuming there n=must be a process, please advise.

Last what is the 3.0.5.3 patch for?
