My Dashboard Link & Directory

I've got CP installed for my site, I stepped through the installation guide and created Profile, Dashboard and Edit Ad pages, but I must be missing something.......if I keep the links to these new pages visible in the header and footer, they work, I can click to view them, but at the top of the screen where there's a default link to "My Dashboard" next to my name (I'm logged in), I get an error message when I click it because it's looking for a /Dashboard directory.

What step did I miss?

If you mouse over the header links and the dashboard link, are they pointing to the same place? It sounds like that's not the case. Wherever the header and footer dashboard links point, is where you setup the page. It should be at the root of your site ideally otherwise the main dashboard link won't match up.

What's your site url so one of us can take a look?

Hmmmm, go figure......it's working now. I was just making changes regarding your suggestions for permalinks, not sure if that had something to do with it.

I've done some basic HTML/Javascript stuff in the past, I'm new to WP, themes and everything else that goes into this setup process........thanks for the response.

It was most likely whatever you did to the permalinks. Glad it's working for you now.

The requested URL /dashboard/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please read the installation guide for how to setup the dashboard and other pages. You appear to not have the correct permalinks running on your site.

Does anyone can give me a hint on the screen for the User edit ads,
I did everything but failed, panel appears when you click the following message:

"Page Not Found
The page you are looking for has been moved or does not exist. Please try another url or use our search to find what you are looking for."

With a "404 page not found" error is usually means the dashboard page wasn't created correctly. Please read the installation guide and make sure you create a page called "dashboard" and assign the correct page template to it. Save and publish it.

Now it worked the problem and that my language is Portuguese and I was creating the pages in Portuguese, English has created a mano.
Question: I have to change the whole template to Portuguese to right?

Glad to hear it. Yes, you need to update the .pot file and then recreate your .mo file so it works properly with the latest version.
