    item image not showing

    Hi Guys,

    I cannot get the item image thumbnail to display (on the index page). It loads fine on the actual listing itself.

    View source gives me:
    http://domain.com/wp-content/themes/cla ... ht=50&url=

    this is also my problem.

    the item thumbnails on 'Latest Listings' and 'Category Index' are not showing.

    but they are showing in the individual ad listing, though.

    anyway clues on how to fix this?

    Could you post your website url so I can take a look?

    The latest version 2.8 should fix this problem which will be sent out to all customers later this week.

    I am getting following errors showing when i go to admin page under "image". and item image is missing (link is there).
    This is my local installation.

    Did you read the README-FIRST.txt file before installing everything? Sounds like the images directory doesn't exist so you'll need to create it manually.

    i did read the read me file. and i reread it again, and in the install instructions just included the following instructions in v2.0.7:

    Install instructions:
    1. since you are reading this that means you already unzipped the archive
    2. copy the directory "ClassiPress" to /wp-content/themes on your wordpress instalation
    3. chmod the directory "cache" to 777 (not that important)
    4. go to your blogs admin panel and click the tab "Design". You will see the theme ClassiPress in the list. Click on it and activate it.
    5. once the theme is activated you will see a new tab in your dashboard called "ClassiPress Options". Go to that page and configure the theme.
    6. thats it.


    ClassiPress does not need any plugins so after you install the theme you are good to go.
    After you install the theme make sure you have vizited the ClassiPress options page, in your blog's admin panel, and make all the settings.
    where should the 'images' folder be located so i can create it manually and chmod it properly.

    anyway, i will just wait for the new version and try this again. i brought the page down because i don't want people to post ads yet while still in the old version. i want to start fresh with the new version to avoid upgrading problems, difficulties.

    Ah, I didn't realize you had v2.0.7. The latest version has more detailed installation docs. So here's what I was referring to:

    Create a new directory called "classipress" on your server in /wp-content/uploads/ . CHMOD it to 777 so it's fully writable.

    Yes, it's probably a good idea to wait for v2.8.1 anyhow but it wouldn't hurt to see if this fixes your problem.

    Noel, yes you've got the latest version prior to 2.8. Glad to hear you like it so far. Yes, it's easy to upgrade later to developer edition. You just have to pay the difference.
