Paypal and Draft status problem

Shouldn't the ad on a paid for listing go straight to Published once the payment is made in Paypal and the user clicks on the Return to Merchant button?
I have tried it twice and failed and by that I mean it stays in Draft mode and the test user still has the listing awaiting payment status in the dashboard.
I tested it once with Default New Ad Status set to Publshed and once with it set to Draft, just by way of a test.
(Note, I'm not using the sandbox, I am transferring between my two paypal accounts - probably costing a commission each time!)

I did try it once before and it worked. The only difference I can think of is this, and it may be a bug:
When it worked, I made the payment directly after submitting the Ad.
When it didn't work, I made the payment later from within the Dashboard.
Is the Return to Merchant button taking us to the wrong page perhaps?

I need to do a little more testing, or am I being dopey?

my settings:
Featured Ad Price £2.50
structure: Price per category
All categories = £0
Unregistered posts: No
Allow Ad Editing: Yes
Default New Ad Status: Published

The reason probably is because paypal returns a pending review status instead of success. I had the same issue while testing with sandbox will let you know how to test the same later in the day.

But I am right in thinking that the ad should go automatically to Published aren't I ?
I mean if this is a paypal.com issue then I guess I'm stuffed but otherwise is there anything I can do in Classipress?
Is it a bug? Am I the only one with this issue?

I had the same problems as you guys.. More over when i turn on the pay mode (Featured Ad )then the free add goes to draft instead of being published. Then i had to do manually. so, for now i have turned off the pay pal and running the ads for free. I hope in 3.0 this won´t be a problem.

i had to turn off the feature ad
because the free ads are PENDING.

please give some solutions.
one of the reasons i bought this template for for the possibility of this option
so please moderators give some solutions to this obvious problem.

What version of CP are you all using? Just curious to look into this because I don't believe it has ever come up as an issue before..

Sorry your issue hasn't been resolved yet.. obviously the thread was started by someone else so I would be interested to know more from them and others as well because as I mentioned, it's not an issue I have come across before and I'm trying to see if it's related to only the latest release (2.9.3)...although the changelog doesn't show any significant changes to anything related to paypal or that function.

Can anyone else please confirm if you're still having this issue? Thanks.

This might be a bug. Regardless, it will be fixed in 3.0.
