FX Plugin must be deactivated to install others

I have found I must deactivate FX in order to install a new plugin. With FX activated I cannot go to to http://southgeorgiahelpwanted.com/wp-admin/plugins.php. When I click on Installed Plugins I get a CODE 500 page not found.

To work around I changed the name of FX in file manager to FXtender-proxx. This stopped the plugin from working.

Then I was able to go to http://southgeorgiahelpwanted.com/wp-admin/plugins.php. from the dashboard.

I installed the new plugin and activated it. (EASY WP SMTP)

I then changed the name of FXtender to it's correct name

I clicked to activate FX and got a Code 500 page not found. With it deactivated I can get to the plugin page. and the other plugin works.

FX will not activate now - any attempt to do so gets a Code 500.

I need to have this operating properly. BTW, I have uploaded WP, JobRoller and FX again thinking it would help.

Any suggestions?
