Adding or remove extra states, counties or provinces

Hi,

When a user adds a listing they have to choose which state, if in USA. As my website is based on holiday rentals from various countries. Such as USA-Florida, Spain, Portugal, UK and France etc.

Would I have to edit the States custom field and the extra ones. So like States/Province/Counties. Then add all the extra ones into this field.

Know this will make it better for Google maps. Or Could I create the extra custom fields for each country. Or manage without the States and just use Zip Code/Post Codes etc for Google maps purposes.
