AppThemes Confirm Email not sending email

Hi

We have Classipress 3.6.1 , we have installed confirm email 1.2.1 . We have tested using the default server email and as well as SMTP via gmail. Problem is the users never get an email to validate their account. We have tested multiple ways and never get an email.

Using the plugin "check mail" we have verified the system send out and email and we receive it without problem.
We also tested using "WP Mail SMTP" and the email is sent and received without problem.

The only time we have a problem is within classipress / confirm email.

We are at the point of exporting everything, wiping the site, reinstalling wordpress and starting over, problem is that we have put way to much time into this. Can you advise of anything else we should be checking for ???
