Cant get blogs to work right

Alright let me try to explain what is going on here:

in wp-admin:

I got to posts>categories
I have the category blog, with 4-5 sub categories under blog (so I can have my blog posts categorized)

In posts>tags
I have 15-20 tags (which I tag each blog post)


On the website there is the main header menu. Which has the link Blogs and points to: domain/blog

Thats great, it shows a classipress styled theme, with the blogs on the left (similar to the ad listings) on the sidebar on the right (the popular/comments/tags) and the widgets under that.

Now here is where errors are occuring.
When i click on the blog post link it takes me to the page of the blog post which is pointed to (domain/nameofblogpost)
but the crumb it leaves at the top shows (home>blog(maincat)>subcat>thepost

Here is the error, in the breadcrumb aswell as the tags on the bottom of the blog post. They are directing to a 404.
The same thing is happening on the sidebar where popular/comments/tags show.

For example if i try to click blog on the crumb, it tries to point to /domain/category/blog instead of domain/blog (like the header does)
The tags the to point to domain/tag/tagname

How can we remove this category without messing up the taxonomy created by classipress to create the ads.
