Dashboard reporting inaccurate 'New Ad Listings'

Hello. I recently updated to the newest version and there is an issue that has been bothering me.

The theme dashboard says I am getting many more "new ad listings" then are actually showing up. I.E the theme dashboard showed 39 ads (yesterday) but only a few ads actually processed and are showing up as pending ads, for me to review. I would like to know what is going on here and if the theme is automatically ghosting spam ads or not. I would like my dashboard to show an accurate number of actual ads posted so I can keep track of my progress.

Also I would prefer to manually manage spam ads myself. Before when I saw a spam ad pending I could delete the ad and the user. Now since spam ads are getting ghosted it is more difficult to locate spam users and delete/ban them.

Any ideas here?
