    Unhappy Error 500 upon installation

    I purchased classipress yesterday and am trying to install today but receive an Error 500 message upon activation. I am completely new to CP but have some basic knowledge of WP (but not at a codex level).

    I have tried installing another theme to confirm the issue is related to the CP install and the other themes work just fine.

    I followed the installation documentation to the letter - ftp install was required as I host on 1&1 and it always seems to be required. But have done this before quite successfully.

    I am in no way a programmer, but can follow instructions to the letter.

    Any suggestions please?
