Featured listing disappears after upgrade to 3.3.2

After upgrading to the latest Classipress version 3.3.2 my Featured Listings carousel + User block / Welcome Message in the sidebar disappeared.
I am using a Child Theme but can't figure out where things go wrong.

I cloned the site (using BackupBuddy) and upgraded the cloned version to 3.3.2; see result here: http://thedrummer-ug.com/new

The live site (still using 3.3, with functioning Featured Listings carousel) can be found on the main domain thedrummer-ug.com

Can someone explain to me how to sort this out?
    Thanks.
